Way to go, Marquette! Way to beat Northwestern State by sixteen points! (83-67)
Though to be fair, uber NCAA hoops Seth Davis has suggested that Marquette point guard Dominic James may be the best point guard in the country. And now, Marquette power forward Ousmane Barro is coming into his own, too. This isn't a team to dismiss, with the theory that they are getting some sort of leftover love for coming out of nowhere two years ago with The D. Wade.
I haven't seen them play yet, but I've seen some pretty damn good point guard play this year, and if Seth Davis says Dominic James is amongst the best, then he is. And what wins in the postseason? Motherfucking guard play, that's what.
Big games today: Gonzaga vs. Texas, and Georgetown vs. Duke.
