Almost Forgot--Nice Work, Francisco Liriano

I was too busy watching soccer and reading some kickass comic books, but Francisco Liriano put together one hell of a game. This is exactly the kind of game that Twins fans have been waiting for--seeing someone in that starting rotation who isn't Pavano or Baker or Blackburn (the last two had awful starts recently) help stem the tide.

Up steps former Super Badass Francisco Liriano. After giving up a first inning solo shot home run, Brad Radke style, he gave up 2 more hits in 7 innings, with eight strikeouts. It would be wonderful if we get our old Liriano back. Twins win a game, handily, where Mourneau and Mauer go a combined 2-7, 0 RBI, and 2 runs scored.
