Heath Shuler is A Better Decision Maker than the President of the United States

Man, if I could travel back in time to my younger self, who was dealing with the incredible pile of shit DC Bloodthirsty Savages QB Heath Shuler, and I said that sentence to him, I'm pretty sure my younger self would have given up all hope.

And yet, here it is:

“This afternoon I met with White House officials hoping to hear from them a clear plan and new strategy for victory in Iraq. Tonight, the American people tuned in to President Bush’s address hoping to hear the same – that we would have a new strategy which would stabilize Iraq and bring our troops home as quickly and safely as possible. Instead, we heard a call for escalation and continuation – an escalation of the number of our troops fighting in Iraq and a continuation of the same failed policies and reckless optimism.”

I learned of this quote from Ed Cone, whose southern liberal blog is a righteous piece of goodness. Southern liberalism and hushpuppies are almost enough to make me miss Virginia. God, I miss hushpuppies.

Heath Shuler finished his professional football career with a 49.2% completion and a 15 TD - 33 INT ratio.

And yes, that is far superior to anything Bush has put on the field the last woeful six years.
