The Cardinals franchise hasn't hosted a playoff game since 1975 -- and that was in St. Louis. They were the least shitty team in a terrible division and will host the favored Atlanta Falcons at 4:30 EST on Saturday. The game will be played at brand-new University of Phoenix (ha!) Stadium. Perhaps, in building it to accommodate 73,000 people, they overshot the popularity of the Cardinals.
Unless someone snaps up a few thousand tickets by Friday, the game will be blacked out. Think about the NFC teams with the same record that didn't make the playoffs: Dallas, Chicago and Tampa Bay. Is it even conceivable that their home playoff games wouldn't instantly sell out?
Pathetic. I hope you lose and the franchise moves to Montreal. Bon Voyage!

Was this a way of mocking the Vikings via proxy?

I'm choosing to believe that's exactly what this is.
Also, I'm punching the next person who asks me if I'm going to the Queens game.
But it's understandable that Vikings fans don't make it to the game. After all, it's an open-air stadium and Minnesota gets pretty cold when you're sitting on concrete benches outside for four hours.
No Andy, it's not the weather. Vikings fans know the best they can hope for is another Superbowl loss, so why bother. See it's like this - the Vikings are a tease. They flirt and flirt all through dinner and the movie, and even get involved in some heavy petting on the couch. But then suddenly they leave the room crying just before you finish. The Lions on the other hand - it's CLEAR they are NEVER putting out so you stop at the porn shop on your way to dinner.
Oh Muu. That's just sad. I had no idea that you were writing to us from the 1950s.
1940s.
