Which means that any immediate talent can only come from trades or free agency.I can't even begin to explain how stupid bringing in TO would be. While Shanahan has identified WR as a position of need -- a need I believe is exaggerated -- nothing would sink Washington's pre-wrinkled prospects faster than bringing in the most divisive player in NFL history.

ESPN is still pumping this story pretty hard despite everyone else in the world saying, "Umm, wait a second."
Non-ESPN folks imagine a scenario in which the leadership of the Skins come to McNabb and say, "Hey, look, if we have to make a move for TO, will you be OK with it?" And McNabb, professional that he is, says, "Fine, sure, whatever."
It is of note that McNabb dismissed the idea that he requested TO's presence.
I agree that this is unlikely, but the fact that such a puke-worthy rumor was leading Sportscenter clearly demonstrates the degree to which Washington is presumed to be stoopid.
I agree, that the Dummies in Washington deserve this kind of rumor-mongering, but it really is only ESPN who is trumpeting this shit.
They are also claiming that St. Louis doesn't want the #1 pick, and Washington is one of suitors, and I don't buy that for a second.
Yeah, so they can select Tebow #1.
