That's Surprising--Scalabrini Edition

I was not expecting the name Brian Scalabrini to singled out for praise during a discussion of the bench of the Celtics triumphant Game Seven tonight.

But damned if it isn't with some justification--most minutes from a bench player (25); solid shooting (3-6, 2-3 3pointers), and only a -6 overall.  That means the Celtics were outscored by only 6 whilst Scalabrini was on the floor, and considering he's a big slow not very talented defender, that's holding his own, and then some.

Incidentally, I was watching Game 6 with Jess of I Was Told There Would Be Bacon fame, and she noted that Brian was giving off a Michael Rapaport vibe.  I argued that B-Scal was rocking a Glen Hansard look.  I was wrong.  This video is from last year, but it surely proves that Scalabrini has been channeling Rapaport for awhile:

Big Blue Monkey also called MTV's Rock 'n' Jock Basketball the "Jock 'n' Jam" or some such nonsense.

I was so embarrassed for him. Or completely incensed. I forget.
